Mastery quiz: During the semester I will give you a pre-calculus mastery quiz. You can take it as many times as you need, before the week of final exam. Passing the quiz with a 100% is necessary to pass the course. List of tpoics, and links for practice/learn: link
Team work: Each student pairs up with a classmate. The two of you will be teammates during this semester.

  • You will grade each others' homework.
  • You'll help each other with calculus problems. By doing so you'll both learn and earn points.
  • You'll meet me or a tutor together to discuss your math problems (individual meetings are still encouraged).
  • You'll report your team's grade online each week through the form on the right or this link.
Grading procedure:
  • For each correct final answer (check at the back of the book) you get +4 points
  • For each wrong answer you'll get +1 points!
    • You will have to go through your solution with your teammate, if you get it right after that, each of you will get +1 points!
    • If you can't get it right, then you have to meet a tutor and do a similar problem from the book, if you get it right then each of you get +2 points.
  • For each missing answer or an answer showing no efforts you'll get 0 points.
Homework: At the end of the semester your team will meet me with a notebook including all your solutions to the homework problems and graded by your teammate. This is necessary to pass the course.
Points: The points you've earned might be used for up to 10 points of extra credit at the end of the semester.
